Train push/fold and ICM in realistic conditions

FoldOrNot generates realistic tournament spots — short-stack push/fold, blind defense, resteal and bubble decisions — and grades every decision against Nash ranges and the ICM model. You get instant feedback with the reasoning behind each spot: position, stack size, antes and bubble pressure.

In low buy-in MTTs, most chips are won or lost below 15 big blinds. Mastering push/fold is the fastest way for a tournament player to improve: a few 5-minute sessions a day are enough to internalize the correct ranges.

Frequently asked questions

What is the push/fold strategy?

Push/fold is the optimal tournament strategy when your stack gets short (roughly 12 big blinds or less): instead of min-raising, you either move all-in (push) or fold. The mathematically correct shoving ranges come from the Nash equilibrium and depend on your position, stack size and antes.

At how many big blinds should I switch to push/fold?

Usually around 10 to 12 effective big blinds, slightly earlier with antes. Below that threshold, raising without committing your stack bleeds too much equity: open-shoving maximizes fold equity and avoids tough postflop decisions.

What is ICM in poker?

ICM (Independent Chip Model) converts your chip stack into real money value based on the tournament payout structure. Near the bubble, the chips you risk are worth more than the chips you can win, so you must call all-ins with much tighter ranges than pure chip EV would suggest.

Is the FoldOrNot trainer free?

Yes. You can train without creating an account, and a free account unlocks unlimited training. The premium plan adds advanced categories, postflop play and GTO frequencies.
